Mel Hammonds

Mel Hammonds is life-long photographer with a background in landscape and fine art photography who specializes in pets and their people using natural light.  She focuses on capturing the true essence of her subjects and creates works of art that preserve their unique personalities for years to come. Mel’s work can be seen in Life & Dog magazine and she hosts a blog about her experiences with her camera and pets from all walks of life. She supports multiple animal organizations such as the National Canine Cancer Foundation, and she volunteers regularly for Pup Squad Animal Rescue by photographing available dogs in an effort to improve their chances of adoption.
